Our team is revolutionizing the infant nutrition space by developing a food product meant to uniquely support babies in their earliest stages. Helaina’s R&D ecosystem harnesses the power of naturally occurring biological processes in tandem with modern advances in the space of synthetic biology, fermentation, and improved industrial processing.

We are a fast-paced startup looking for our next team member who is intensely passionate about advancing synthetic biology for food and beverage products and redefining the future of nutrition.

As one of the first five members of the business team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to rapid growth at Helaina across strategic business operations activities.

What You’ll Do

  • Support design, implementation, and troubleshooting of new processes to improve workflow efficiency across different business units including but not limited to Finance, HR, and Legal
  • Assist in the creation of financial models and contribute to financial analysis activities
  • Communicate externally with partners/vendors and internally across teams to coordinate logistics and ensure alignment
  • Conduct research as needed for board decks and investor/partner presentations
  • Complete ad hoc activities that directly contribute to the strategic objectives of the company

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree, or equivalent experience
    1-2+ years of experience in operations or project management, or startup-related work
  • Experience collaborating on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Proficiency across GSuite and Microsoft Office tools, especially PowerPoint and Excel
  • Strong financial modeling abilities is a plus


Bonus Points

  • Experience or demonstrated interest in startups
  • Experience in the food sector or foodtech
  • Experience with Monday and/or Miro


The Logistics

  • Terms of employment: Full-time, non-exempt
  • Location: NYC or Remote; United States
