Fire it Up! Cooking with a Boring Actually Looks Exciting

When 20,000 people bought Elon Musk-backed Boring flamethrowers, you knew tons of interesting/crazy/potentially dangerous activities would ensue.

Over at The Verge, Elizabeth Lopatto took her $500 flamethrower to a grill. Well, technically, she took it to a safe, industrial space and used it flame broil a steak and some s’mores in a small grill.

The results? Well, they certainly weren’t boring. Lucky for us, The Verge made a video of the whole thing.

Not-A-Flamethrower: cooking with Elon Musk's hottest collectible

Lopatto isn’t the only one fired up by Boring’s device. Chef Michael Voltaggio recently posted a pic on Instagram of him using one to make jerk chicken.

Do not try this at home, kids.

#tbt a couple of weeks ago @bottlerocknapa when @snoopdogg @warreng and I set a @guinnessworldrecords and made jerk #chicken with my new #toy from @the_boring_company
