Our mission is to empower plant-based dairy to give it the creaminess and mouthfeel consumers strive for. To do this we are developing creamy fat ingredients from non-GMO yeast to be sold as B2B ingredients.
Your mission
As Downstream Process Engineer you will be responsible for leading the effort to develop processes to efficiently extract our indulgent cream. You will work with microbiologists, downstream engineers, and food technologists to improve the yield and make sure the yeast has properties for a desirable final product. As our second hire, your role will be pivotal in making dairy-free indulgence a reality for consumers worldwide.
What you need to succeed
Masters in Biotechnology, Food Processing or equivalent
Ph.D. within the area and/or > 3 years industry experience and/or
Experience in experimental design, statistical data analysis.
Experience with methods of yeast cell lysis
Experience with dairy processing
A proactive attitude
Willingness to learn quickly new things.
