The Role:
We are seeking a highly effective Customer Technology Consultant who will contribute to our community of operators and our vendor relationships and their success. This role will work closely with our community of vendors and operators, helping each find the right partner for their business. This is a role that will require curiosity and understanding of the technology solutions that exist and how they fit into a restaurant, and loves building and maintaining relationships with everyone they work with. This will be a contracted position to start.
The successful candidate will have passion and proven experience in developing relationships and driving value to business partners, and a demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply learnings. This role will be responsible for managing vendor partner relationships, connecting vendor partners to potential customers, understanding and applying restaurant technology to business needs.
Responsibilities:
-Continuously learns about new restaurant technology and how it fits into a restaurant business
-Consults with restaurant operators to answer questions about technology and help them identify potential solutions for their business based on goals and needs, and answers general questions, inevitably connecting restaurant operators to our vendor partners through our marketplace
-Builds and maintains relationships with preferred vendor partners beyond driving transactions, including, but not limited to, opportunities to partner, to promote and ensure satisfaction or communicate and manage issues as they arise
-Supports internal and external events and needs, including webinars, podcast guest spots, and more
-Builds and shares knowledge of restaurant technology with the internal BoH team to cross-train the team and help inform other parts of the business
-Works with the Sales Leadership to support sales strategy and inform targets
-Works collaboratively with Product, Content, and Growth leadership to inform team strategies
Requirements:
-2 years of experience in the restaurant industry, MSP, Business Consulting or a restaurant technology vendor
-Experience and knowledge in restaurant technology
-Proven experience in customer relationship building and management; ability to effectively communicate with business owners and leaders
-Highly curious with a strong desire to learn.
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to learn and communicate clearly and quickly
-Positive attitude, coachable, detail-oriented with good multitasking, analytical, and organizational abilities
-Comfortable with ambiguity and applies a start-up mentality to how they approach their work
-Education 4 year college degree in related field preferred or an equivalence of experience
