What we need from you
Join our strong team dedicated to revolutionizing the food industry! We are looking for a Senior Food Scientist with a passion for innovation and sustainability to lead the development of our cell-based alternatives.
– Experience and Passion: dynamic professional with 2-4 years of experience in food process engineering and the successful launch of alternative meat products. Your passion for creating sustainable food solutions should be matched by your expertise in food chemistry, plant-based product development, and sensory testing.
– Education: A solid background with a university degree in Food Science, Food Manufacturing, Industrial/Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.
– Innovation and Creativity: Experience in flavour and aroma development, with a knack for blending art and science to create delicious, sustainable food alternatives. Your ability to design and execute experiments, coupled with statistical evaluation skills, will be crucial.
– Responsibilities: From conceptualising to launching new products, you’ll be at the forefront of developing our final product line. This includes setting up our new food lab, working with a variety of biological sources of primary cells, and ensuring the sensory and nutritional quality of our products meets the highest standards.
Skills and Qualifications:
Expertise in food chemistry, ingredient functionality, and interaction, along with a deep understanding of food microbiology and processing.
Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage projects independently, fostering innovation within the team.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and articulate scientific findings.
What You Will Do:
Lead product development initiatives from the ground up, ensuring alignment with our mission to reduce animal slaughter.
Play a pivotal role in formulating our cell-based meat product alternatives, ensuring they meet regulatory standards and consumer expectations for taste, texture, and nutritional value.
Utilise your knowledge in food science and technology to push boundaries, implement new manufacturing processes, and continuously improve our product offerings.
